Last week it was reported that Nat Fyfe was looking at potential alternate clubs to play for. However the choice may not be up to him as the Gold Coast Suns just offered a deal to Fremantle.
In exchange for the 2015 Brownlow Medalist, the Suns have offered two first-round picks and potentially another player (which will be sent during the trade window). The Suns have a lottery of picks and could use these to build a competitive club.
Nat Fyfe could replace Gary Ablett as the main man at the Gold Coast. Ablett in recent history has struggled with injuries.
The Suns understand that getting Fyfe is a long shot, but reports say that when the Suns heard Fyfe’s comments on leaving, they contacted Fyfe’s agent, Scott Clayton.
At this time, Fyfe has not made a decision on whether he will depart Fremantle or stay with the 2015 minor premiers.
